SIMPLE NORTH

About Lea & Simple North

I'm a long-time Yukoner, scientist, project management professional, and executive coach who brings an ADHD-informed lens to my work.

My background spans two decades in science and more than 15 years in project management and that blend of experience shapes how I support people and organizations.

My approach is grounded in neuroscience, shaped by real‑world complexity, and human centred. I help people and organizations clarify what truly matters, let go of what doesn’t, and create simple systems that support alignment, focus, and sustainable change.

I’m based in downtown Whitehorse and work with clients online and in person. I’d love to meet you.

Consulting

What It IsConsulting provides strategic support to assess challenges, improve processes, and strengthen how work gets done. This service focuses on systems, structure, and operational clarity rather than individual development.

What We Work On

  • Assessing workflows and identifying inefficiencies
  • Clarifying roles, responsibilities, and decision pathways
  • Improving communication structures
  • Designing practical systems to reduce friction
  • Strengthening alignment across teams

How it WorksI start by understanding how things are currently working, what feels smooth, what feels stuck, and what you’re trying to move toward. From there, I offer observations and practical suggestions to help improve clarity and coordination. This may include conversations with team members, reviewing workflows, mapping out responsibilities, and identifying next steps.

Who this is For
Consulting is a good fit if you:

  • Are experiencing operational bottlenecks
  • Need clearer processes or role definition
  • Want an external perspective on how work flows
  • Are seeking structural improvement rather than coaching

Format
  • Project-based or short-term engagements
  • In-person or virtual
  • Scope and timeline defined in advance

WHY LEA

What Clients Value Working With Me

  • Experience allows me to meet people where they are. This is from 20+ years of exposure to a wide range of systems, leadership styles, and ways of working.
  • I help people identify what is truly important, especially when everything feels urgent and competing for attention.
  • I pay close attention to what’s being said and what isn’t, and I adapt my approach to the people and situation in front of me.
  • Our work leads to practical, actionable change. I support clients in creating habits, boundaries, and systems they can realistically maintain.
  • I bring a strong love of learning and careful judgment to my work, asking good questions and avoiding one-size-fits-all solutions.
  • Clients often tell me they feel heard. I work with honesty and humility, helping people recognize the skills and experience they already have.

My experience allows me to meet people where they are. With experience across diverse systems and roles, I adapt to each client’s context, capacity, and needs.

I find neuroscience fascinating, especially how stress and activation show up in our work lives. Regulation isn’t separate from business; it’s part of how good decisions are made.

"Lea’s guidance and support have improved the way I approach my work and helped me achieve personal and professional goals. I would often arrive at sessions feeling overwhelmed but always left more relaxed, clear-headed, and with a plan of action. "

-Marina, Scientist

"I had some excellent comments from staff, including several along the lines of, “it felt so productive, yet not draining” which is a win. Lea did a beautiful job of taking my “shoe box” of issues that I dumped out on the table and helping us sort through them and give shape to the workshop.
-Sarah, Yukon Gov't Director

"The questions she asked helped me to reflect, and identify the approaches and strategies I needed to implement in order to focus on my priorities. Since working with her, I’ve implemented many of the tools and approaches she’s suggested and have been feeling much more grounded."
-Emily, Consultant
